80s Fashion
80s Fashion was a method of expression, nothing about 80’s fashion was abstract. In today’s society, the 80’s was the era where clothes were influenced by a strategic economical and political changes.
Fashion has always been women’s best friend. Whether is a new bag, a handbag, jewelry or just a simple shirt, it all has to be “up to par”. I shop often, I return often. I ROTATE MY WARDROBE.
This actually keeps my husband sane, while I am always up with the latest trends. I love designer stuff, Gucci, Prada, Channel just to name a few. Over the years, I have learned a very valuable lesson: you buy cheap, you get crap.
So now I only buy when I am 110% sure that I am getting quality clothes, even if I end up paying more than just average. I love fashion, I love watching the fashion shows from Paris and Milan, love seeing the latest in belts and handbags.
80s fashion was all about being yourself, being able to make a fashion statement. Back then, everything was bold and aggresive, including the attitude. Looking back at some of the “oldies”, I appreciate what I own even more. I am no longer restricted to 3 brands when it comes to perfumes, now the sky is the limit.
There are plenty of online suppliers that I visit on regular basis as well. Often, online prices are much better than the retail stores. Afterall, there is no rent, workers comp and all that overhead expense. My only problem with these online shopps is that I can’t really touch and feel the product, I just have to use my imagination…which kinda sucks.
The 80’s was deffinately about jewelry as well. This is when looking for a jewelry organizer was a tremendous task. Well, no longer. We have access to just about anything related to jewelry these days.
I will be posting some pictures of my stuff shortly, keep an eye out for some of my all time 80’s fashion favorites.
